O U R W O R K S H O P S

We believe in wholeness and that everything in creation is connected. However obscured, muted or elusive that wholeness may be in today’s world, it is present, and glimpses evoke wonder. We accept the paradox of seeking a wholeness that can never be wholly attained. At Genesis+Art, we aspire to engage in creative explorations that begin and end in wonder. We wonder what aspects of wholeness may be revealed as we engage at the boundary of tension.

Art + Earth + Spirit

Re-waken hope in a new ecology of respect, tolerance and love.

Through communion with all of life, we weave a healthier and more balanced world back into being. The way to save the earth is to belong to it. Together, we will explore tension on the edges and boundaries. We invite you to enter a time that engages your senses and to join in active communion with others, into this immersive workshop. Join our interdisciplinary faculty and participate in experiential “making” to re-waken hope and encourage a new ecology of respect, tolerance and love.

Each class will be designed to the needs of your group

Spirit Taking Shape

Art and imagination help us form community.

How might an intentional engagement with our creativity and spirituality increase our ability to live a life in community? How can creativity and imagination help us form community centered in understanding, justice and peace? Using language of shape, symbol, color and the sounds of nature, we will reach into the landscape of the earth and deeper, into our silence, to touch where Spirit takes form. We will create space to listen and respond not only to our own inner voice but also to hear the stories of others. Through the process we hope to re-form our relationships to the earth, each other and the spirit that sustains us. No previous experience with creative art forms is necessary.

Creative Day Away

Drawing out the spirit that connects us.

How might an intentional engagement with our creativity and spirituality increase our ability to live a life of meaning and service to others? How can creativity and imagination help us form community centered in peace, understanding and justice? Using language of shape, symbol, and color we will reach into the landscape of our creative selves to sense where spirit takes form.

We love to share our creative energies and make art with others. We trust that creativity, divinely embedded in the human spirit, is always within reach. Coming together to paint draws out the spirit that connects us. We create something together that could not be created alone.

“Thank you for facilitating such a wonderful morning for us at your studio – it was such an interesting and valuable experience and prompted great discussion and reflection.” – Bristol Reading
